The Professional Painter's Equipment Checklist
Here’s the equipment list professionals use. Before you start any painting project, you’ll save a whole lot of time if you already have the following items.
PREP:
- Putty
- Putty knife
- Sandpaper
- Sanding block
- Retractable blade
- Damp cloth
- Silicone dispenser gun
- Silicone tube (e.g. No More Gaps)
- Dust pan and brush
FINISHING:
- sandpaper
- broom
PAINTING:
- Drop sheets
- Plastic protective sheets
- masking tape
- brushes (different sizes?)
- roller
- roller extension
- paint tray
- paint stirrer
- flat-head screwdriver or paint tin opening tool
- undercoat (oil based or water based?)
- ceiling white
- gloss enamel for trim
- wall paint
- feature wall paint with tint
- ladder
- second ladder with plank
- bright directional lights for dark areas
